Editor's Letter (from June print edtion of YGG....)

elcome one and all to the first issue of Your Gay Galway.  We wanted to put together a newsletter which had relevant stories and information for members of the Gay community. Although based in Galway, we want to deal with Universal issues.

In this edition we look at the current state of Gay marriage in Ireland. In the feature story we hear a frank and honest account about what it’s like to have two Mothers and the feeling of shock when a parent comes Out to their teenager. We also talk about the importance of mental health and what you can do to protect yours.

 I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the writers and illustrators involved for their time and talent, which they gave freely and in abundance. Also I must thank anyone who advertised this month; your support was vital and much appreciated! It was a lot of fun to put this together and we hope you enjoy it.

We would encourage anyone interested in writing a piece or anyone with ideas for articles to get in touch. Also any and all feedback will be welcomed and if you have any comments regarding this issue let us know. 

 After all, this is YOUR Gay Galway.
